  1. Some years ago I stopped at the flea market area is of college kids that have been downloaded, what they do not return home after finishing their studies. I have a box full of jewelry with a price of $ 5 and the game and bought it because I thought I could recycle some of their songs. When I got home and looked through the area and found a number of beautiful pearls. They were genuine. Then I went back to the girl who sold it to me and asked if they knew that they were the right thing. She said her grandmother had her for her 16th Birthday gift, but not like pearls. She did not come back, even though I explained that they are useful and have tried to abuse it.

The old cliché of "pearls before swine," I remembered. The girl was far from being a pig, but not sure appreciate a nice gift for a grandmother who probably purchase stored for a long time to beads.

Consider this before you buy. The beads may mean more to you than your daughter.

  2. when we were kids we used silver dollars from the family to receive, then we were the jewels of the aunts, grandparents, we cross necklaces made of gold. Nobody gave me some beads, but if I ever do enough to give them a penny again (tag, custom or superstition part). When a young today do not know the need to return a penny if they know not to use any story or necklace, dredging up how I feel, because it would be mockery. Ask them what they want and if in costume.

  3. I do not think that many people do but I think it was a valuable tradition. Unfortunately, many young girls in pearls are not known today. I have my pearls my husband on our 16th Birthday. I have girls so maybe I'll switch to a granddaughter. (if I heard correctly)

  6. I looked a few days ago.
Imitation pearls my friend when I was 15th
We were in a small town, and I remembered in our local jeweler. They were $ 5.00! A considerable sum at that time.
    What is the sexual innuendo?

  7. I have a daughter who has a son. I have my niece, my necklace, and I've never been out of the use or ever said anything about it. The children of today have their own style, not just pearls.

  9. I have heard not the habit. I have not seen a girl with a pearl necklace for a long time, I think it looks out of date for the youth of today.

  10. It seems that in today's time also give your child pearls. If I have a daughter who today probably would be demanding diamonds.
